DXC Technology has an immediate need in our US Public Sector group for a Network Engineer F5 APM in Colorado Springs, Co.
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with F5 APM experience to manage the ongoing day-to-day network services for a large data center service contract supporting the federal government. This individual will manage DNS, troubleshoot IPv4 and IPv6 network issues, and help support network initiatives and will be leverage to work on other contracts throughout USPS as needed.
Candidate will support hardware on site in the Colorado Springs Datacenter.
Support Network Technologies:
F5 Big-IP LTM/GTM
Working w/ APIs
Education and Experience Required:
3+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total).
Must be available for after hours / on call support
Must be a US Citizen.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, BGP, IPv4, and IPv6 is required.
• Must be able to interact with other engineers as well as the client and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Network Engineering
• Scripting and integrating network systems into SDN/Cloud platforms using APIs
• Scripting as well as tools like Ansible would be preferred.
• Strong scripting and programming background required
The candidate needs to have a strong proficiency in the following skill sets:
•Excellent Troubleshooting skills
•Extensive experience in the deployment and operation of switches, routers, load-balancers, and proxy servers.
•Must have knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of IP and core IP technologies
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
•Security Practices (Audits, planning, design, implementation, testing, and management)
•LAN/WAN internetworking technology
•Policy and Procedure review and implementation
•Networking and Application Protocols
